Haus of Dogs is a sole-trader professional dog grooming business serving Alltwen, Pontardawe and surrounding areas of South Wales. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the personal information you share with us when enquiring about or using our services.

3. Information we collect
When enquiring/bookings we may collect customer’s name, phone, dog’s name/breed/grooming requirements, appointments, relevant grooming history, dog behaviour/care requirements, appointment communications, and payment/transaction information. We primarily record details in a paper diary and may retain phone, WhatsApp/social messages.
4. How we use information
Respond to enquiries, arrange/confirm/manage appointments, provide dog grooming, maintain records, process payments/accounting, contact customers about appointment/grooming matters. Legal grounds include contract/pre-contract steps, legal obligations and legitimate business interests. We do not currently send promotional marketing messages or newsletters.
5. Payments
Accept cash, card and bank transfer. Banks/payment providers may process relevant transaction details. We don’t collect or store customers’ payment-card details through the website.
6. Photographs of dogs
We may take photos during appointments and share selected dog photos on website/Facebook/Instagram. We don’t routinely request prior permission for photos showing dogs alone. If an owner or individual can be identified from photos/captions, applicable data protection requirements must be considered. Customers may phone 07366 108420 with concerns to request review.
7. Storage/security
We take reasonable steps to protect customer information; appointments primarily in paper diary and communications may be held in contact apps. Limit access to staff with legitimate business needs.
8. Retention
Retain relevant customer/appointment info as reasonably needed to manage grooming, customer history, enquiries/disputes; financial records for legally required accounting/tax periods, securely dispose otherwise.
9. Website/third parties
IONOS hosting; IP/server logs may be processed for delivery/security. Third-party services: Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram; relevant platforms’ privacy policies apply. Cookies/similar technologies may be used; actual technologies and consent requirements subject to separate verification.
10. Sharing
We do not sell customer personal information. Information may be shared with necessary service providers for operations, communications, payments/legal duties; international data protections apply where relevant.
11. Data rights
